The basic simplicity and logic of it all is what really struck my fancy! Why there is even an area for your pets!! The beauty of this product once again is it's durability and ease of use. It's manufactured in the same manner: the "list" is really cute and colorful!! Drawer Trays: OK. Now there is no excuse for a dis-organizer drawer ever again! The Container Store makes these drawer inserts specifically designed to meet the needs of their "Elfa" wire basket systems. Yet, I found another use for these nifty organizers. They will fit in most standard size drawers to organize anything in your office storage area! Perfect to organize small items that normally create a cluttered feeling. There are 2 sizes narrow and medium. The narrow will fit in spaces that are 15" x 23" x 3" the medium is 19" x 23" x 3". I highly recommend the "divided tray." Click-Clacks: When it comes to storing food items in an airtight container -- I have found none better! Forget those so called great deals you see where you can purchase 60 items at a time. Believe me when it comes to durability and quality -- these are the BEST! Besides the durability, Click-Clacks are a welcome sight to any Kitchen! Click-Clacks range from .5 qts to 4.7 qts in size. Great for storing rice, pasta, beans, snacks, cereal -- let your imagination be your guide! The great thing about Click-Clacks, besides being totally airtight, (translation: bug proof) is they are a heavy duty ultra-clear styrene so you can visibly see what is stored inside each container at a glance. No "murky" color here -- we're talking totally clear! Each canister features a silicone seal to keep contents fresh and airtight. They each have a patented "squeeze top" lid that makes opening a s-n-a-p! Click-Clacks are even stackable and are attractive enough to grace any counter top to boot! Round Step-On-Can: A trash can, is a trash can, is a trash can -- right?? Wrong! Who would have thought I would do a "product review" on such a common item. Well, the reason is, I have run across more broken and cracked trash cans in the past year than I ever dreamed possible! Let me tell you a story ... in 1980 I purchased one of these trash cans and I still own it today -- and it's in tip-top shape! Not bad for a household item that takes so much daily abuse. Almost 20 years ago I built a home that had a very modern Kitchen. It was at that time I realized that because of the "openness" in the Kitchen -- I really had no place to put a trash can. (Let's face it under the sink may be out of sight -- yet the space is never large enough!) So I decided to find a product that would be durable, yet not obtrusive! Viola! I found the "round step-on-can"! The trash can comes in 2 heights and your choice of square or round. They are designed in enamel or stainless steel. ( I choice a white enamel to help it "blend in" to the environment) The beauty of this trash can is that it is truly "hands-free!" Now how many times do you wish you had that frivolity in the kitchen when your hands are full or dirty? Each trash can has a lift-out stainless steel liner for easy disposal and cleaning. OK -- now hold onto your hats, because you may go through some "sticker shock" here! The 8 gallon can (the one I highly recommend) goes for $39-$149. Before you decide you can't make that investment let me remind you mine is almost 20 years old and I paid $89 way back then. That boils down to $4.50 per year ...AND I've never had to replace mine. Soda Can Dispenser: Running out of space in your refrigerator? Want to organize this space too? Well you can! I found this can dispenser originally about 3 years ago. Since then there have been a lot of "replicas" so be careful on this one. These nifty can dispensers really work! This particular one is stainless steel and holds 10 beverage cans at an angle so they roll forward when you take one out. They take up minimal shelf space in a refrigerator, cabinet or pantry. Measures 5.5" x 16" x 6". Stainless steel versions go for approximately $14 and wire coated systems for approximately $10. I've organized many a Kitchen using this nifty gadget (Yes, I do refrigerators as part of the project too!) and people are always amazed at the amount of space they reclaim. Gravity Can Organizer: Recently I did some work for a client that was very challenged with an exceptionally small pantry. The challenge was -- this truly was the only area in the Kitchen to store food items. So I set out on my "hunt and peck" mission to recover as much space for her as possible. Can goods were a big item in this household so I had no second thoughts for procuring the "gravity-feed can rack -- several of them! By turning the cans vertically and rearranging the spacing on the shelves we were able to rustle up a slew of space while creating an organizing dream for her. The force of gravity constantly feeds cans to the "front" so you aren't reaching and knocking down can goods in the process. Actually an added benefit from this nifty little tool, is that her son now LOVES to put away the groceries -- especially the can goods!
