Lid Organizer:

Seems like wherever there is a cabinet with pots and pans ...there is chaos and clutter -- right? Well it's time to get your lids in order folks.

These nifty organizers have been around for a while -- yet I'm not sure why most of my clients still struggle in this regard. Everyone gets pretty frustrated clanging through the cabinet looking for the correct lid or attempting to make space for storing the clean pots and pans. Yet if the lids had a special place ...maybe ...just maybe you could reclaim some of the space you need for the pots.

I figured if many of my client's are still challenged by a swarm of lids -- there's probably hundreds or even thousands of folks out there in the same boat.

So make way for 2 great models to organize your pot and pan lids!

Now there seems to be a huge comeback with stainless steel these days -- so that will be our first display. This durable pot lid organizer is chrome plated steel and mounts directly into your cabinet shelf. It doesn't stop there -- because it also slides out for easy access!

It measures 6" x 22" x 6" and sells for approximately $25 and can be found at Hold Everything.

Our next model is another clever little pullout lid organizer comes from none other than the infamous Container Store. Made of their standard durable high grade plastic -- this is a great buy for approximately $13!

OK. Lets not stop here -- we may as well cover the gamut and address those nasty plastic lids that have a tendency to either disappear or multiply overnight!

Once again -- the Container Store to the rescue! With it's open sided design this plastic lid organizer will hold your large and extra long lids as well. Made of the same high quality vinyl wire-coated wire, this lid organizer will sit nicely in any cabinet or pantry.

Dimensions are 10 1/4" x 5" x 4 5/8" The product sells for approximately $4.99 Why not buy enough to handle all those lids floating around!

Wood Monitor Stand:

Now there are computer correls and there are computer correls, yet this is the most beautiful one I have ever seen!

Ergonomically speaking, most people have their monitors at a very inappropriate height. This could translate to severe neck strain after a while if you don't correct the situation. (It's suppose to be just over 4 inches to the eye if you are curious.)

If you have been too fussy in addressing this problem because you didn't like the "standard grey" -- this item ought to turn your head real quick!

This monitor stand is a beauty and comes in natural or dark solid cherry. It earns it's keep in organizing your space too. It is large enough to store active files as well as keep a few office items like a pen, pencil, ruler or paper clips at your beckon call.

Personally, I have used my correl for years to store files and papers that are active at the end of each work day -- not for housing my keyboard! Yet this monitor stand is a work of art!

Dimensions are 13 1/2" x 12 3/4 " x 4 3/8" Pricing is approximately $69.95 this item can be found at none other than Levenger! Treat yourself to an ergonomically organized solution for your office!

Merrick Personal Punch:

Sooooo, what have we here? Piles of business cards that keep falling out of your Rolodex -- so you gave up putting them in. I know what you mean -- who has extra time to transfer all the information onto a Rolodex card these days?

Well, about 4 or 5 years ago I stumbled into this itty bitty gadget tucked waaaay behind on a hook in my local Office supply store. Hmmmm, what have we here? A mini punch? For business cards? For my Rolodex? WOW !! What a score!!

To this day I have the same "personal punch" I bought way back then!

It's durable and made of a very heavy duty plastic. The way you use it is:
  • insert your business card
  • look through the tiny opening and make sure you are not punching the phone number
(hint: I normally reverse the card if the number will be punched)
  • squeeze the punch with both hands and

Eureka! The business card is now punched to the exact measurement of your Rolodex! What a novel idea!

Because everyone makes their business card using a different pound weight of paper -- I just line up the holes of the business card with the holes of a Rolodex card and staple the two together! Now just file your business card in the appropriate area!

The Merrick Personal Punch can be found -- tucked away -- in most office stores. Although the price has gone up from my original $4 investment -- the personal punch runs approximately $7.95 these days -- yet it still a must for any busy office or home!

Jester Wrist Rester:

Here's an office tool that everyone needs to seriously think about!

We tend to spend more and more time at our computers these days (is this the trade off for the supposed paperless office I wonder?) Anyway, if you aren't monitoring your work habits -- you could be in for a cumulative shock!

Ergonomically speaking once again, you have to pay attention to your wrist action as well. Take it from a season vet -- I fell into this predicament 6 years ago and paid a hefty price in the RSI department. Since that time I have made full and total use of keyboard wrist-rests and mouse wrist-rests.

Now I have a cushy wrist wrest -- yet this is really innovative!! Jester Wrist rester is pliable, soft and provides just the right angle for maximum support and comfort. Yet these babies have another unique capability!

They are made from natural flaxseed and can be microwaved to bring w-a-r-m-I-n-g comfort to your wrists as you work! Not only that, they have been known to be extremely amicable to being tossed to and fro ...from hand to hand if you are deep in a concentrative thought!

Jester Wrist Rester comes in emerald, sapphire, or ruby and sells for approximately $16 at Levengers. Visit their website or call: 800-544-0880.

Spice Drawer Organizer:

Tired of shuffling through all your spices to get to the one jar you really need before dinner is done cooking?

Hmmmm, spices are a funny lot -- you know you have the one you need yet there are sooooo many of them how do you keep them organized?

At one point in time you had them all in a jumbled mess figuring -- "Why bother?" Then you got motivated one day and remembered a friend told you she alphabetizes hers. Easier said than done because you still were searching for the one you wanted!

I mean after all you used the "Pepper" everyday and "Allspice" only got used 2 times a year around the holidays. Didn't make too much sense for "Allspice" to be way up front -- did it?

OK. So you are ready to give it a shot -- yet what are the options? Well, used to be the only time you could get a spice drawer insert was if your Kitchen was designed by an architectural team! Not anymore!

Spice drawer inserts can be found at the Container Store for a very affordable price! Not only that you have a ton of leeway to shape the drawer to suit your very own Kitchen!

All you do with these spice inserts is: measure, score, snap and install!! Did you ever think it could be so easy??

Now you can lay out your spices in just about any drawer. See them ALL in front of you at a glance!! Inserts measure 16" x 21 1/4" and can be trimmed down to 11 3/8" x 15 1/2 " They sell for approximately $17 at the Container Store. Visit their website or call: 800-733-3532
