Yea gads!!! PULEEZE refrain from feeling this forum is strictly for "entrepreneurs" first of all. Did you notice the initial tab "In" says "Business Organizing"???
Btw: I have tons of military personnel, educators & government employees who visit this site on a regular basis! Glad you found us too!!
Rich, first of all you need to realize that "no one book was designed to help everyone" Hence, you need to maybe consider perusing the organizing field in a very general manner when it comes to reading material. Even as a Professional Organizer I would refrain from using certain suggestions I have found in print with my clients. You see everyone is *uniquely* individual when it comes to organizing. there is no *one way* to approach it. Each persons needs vary. Being a right brain dominenet person versus a left brain dominant person adds another ingredient to the approach.
Another point: age has nothing to do w/the ability to get more organized. It stems from the "desire" to be aware that a change is necessary. So please give yourself a pat on the back -- you sound *VERY OPEN* & very aware of the need to do things differently. You are NOT a failure Rich, ...you just haven't found the process that resonates w/your needs. Huge distinction!
My first suggestion would be to peruse this website -- it has 100's of pages & is very extensive as it nears 20 megs of data. I have been told via e/m that many people have achieved success in following a wealth of approaches I have outlined. By no means is this site completed -- as a matter of fact I am behind on my updates at this moment -- soon to be resolved :)
