Aloha Marcy!
First off ...my humble apologies for your question "slipping thru the cracks." On top of that, due to moving my home & 2 businesses I haven't had time to respond to the BBS. My humble apologies for the extended delay.
Marcy, have you looked into "File Maker Pro" ??? The reason I recommend this software is because of it's fluidity in design. It is a database system, used for contact management primarily, yet is so diverse YOU can set it up ANY way your needs define. I use it for tracking all my clients. I can edit comments any way I need to. Plus I can actually design the layout to suit my needs. I can list due dates, last contact dates ....anything your mind can think of.
It also links into your WP software. You can write a memo from the program even with the linking ability it has. Is designed for MAC or PC environments. Personally I do not feel it is difficult to learn -- the most difficult part is for people to actually realize it will do just about anything they need. Once created you can even redefine fields ...if you discover a later need.
Hope this helps!
Much Aloha,
