: Nancy,

Thank you responding. :-) I will try your suggestions.

Marcy

Hi, Marcy --

: I just got a medium-size HBB from NT, too! I got mine in nylon, since my clothing and lifestyle is mostly casual these days. Don't you love it? I noticed yesterday in the grocery store that it's the first bag I've EVER had that doesn't slip off my shoulder constantly, and even with all the stuff I pack it's still on the light side.

: Could I give you a couple of hints from the way I've organized my bag? First of all, I wear prescription glasses and sunglasses, but since I've always got one pair on, and since I drive different cars from our home "fleet," I carry whichever pair I'm not wearing in one of the outside pockets in a protective case rather than leave them in my usual vehicle. Also in outside pockets -- for easy access -- are tissue pack, pepper mace, lip balm or gloss, shopping list with coupons. I drop my keys into an outside pocket or hook them onto the strap with my convenient large hook thing on which my keyrings ride.

: Inside I put my two pens IN A PEN HOLDER in one of the pen holder slots. Pen holder is to prevent leaks similar to the one that did in my previous department-store bag. Checkbook slides into the big pocket on the opposite side. Rosary in another pocket in a little sack. Calculator, small notepad compatible with my Day-Timer, business card case -- all flat -- in the zippered pocket opposite the "pen side." My wallet and zippered coin purse just sit inside there along with a large zippered pouch for pain relievers (I carry three small bottles -- his, hers, and kid's), BandAids (again, I have boys!), towelettes, emergency personal hygiene stash, small comb, et al. Easy to grab the whole thing -- it's translucent blue -- and get what I need from that. A makeup bag would easily fit in there, too, but I don't carry a separate one. When I get one, I'll carry a small, lightweight umbrella in the outside "spine" pocket.

: There is plenty of room inside and outside of the bag for the small phone, etc. that a businessperson would need to carry, although I think I'd keep that in a more secure spot inside.

: Hope this helps you, Marcy! So far it's working out great for me. Julie, when you read this, thanks again for the reminder (please see my other post).

: : : : Julie, I got the medium sized purse from Norm thompson. I think I need help on
: : organizing my stuff inside of it. Some easy to do, simple ideas would be appreciated.

: : Thanks,

:
: : I never seem to have the "right" purse and a briefcase/bag to carry all of my
: : : : "stuff." Can you recommend any good purses and work bags/briefcase, etc? Once I get
: : : : these I will also need help in organizing them. Any suggestions? Thank you.

: : : Sorry Marcy, we seem to be still experiencing a challenge w/the "replies" to posts here -- so I posted a new message

: : : Aloha Marcy!

: : : Hmmmmm, I know *exactly* what you mean!

: : : To solve this dilemma, I can recommend 2 products off the top of my head:
: : : 1) check the "Orders to Go" section on the T.O.C. page & click on "Organizing Tools" you will see the Red Dot/Folio -- this may be one sure cure for the papers you have to carry in an organized fashion.
: : : 2) as far as a "specific" handbag -- I am very partial to the "Healthy Back Bag." There are several "replicas" out there, yet I would recommend purchasing this product through Norm Thompson. (800) 547-1160 -- The bag comes in leather or a durable denier nylon. It also comes in 3 sizes to suit the most versatile needs! I can vouch for the bag, quality, & customer service of Norm Thompson -- yet I wouldn't venture to remark on the quality of the "replicas" :)

: : : I've had my handbag for 4+ years & love it! It's loaded w/ample space & compartments to keep you organized. It's also large enough to put an 8x10 time management system inside!

: : : Hope this helps!

: : : Much Aloha,
