To Angels, Sweethearts and Professional Organizers
If you are driven to despair
and do not know who'll ever care
about your files and things to do
Then one advice is here for you:
Without a limit or a quorum
there are some angels on this forum
They neither charge a dime, nor smile
but get you working on the file,
Results you urgently required
or had the choice of being fired
They talk to you without a face
May they be Julie, Jill, Paulette or Grace
But one thing that I know for sure
their prensence here has been a cure
to trouble, mess, headache and pain
Their efforts have not been in vain
My desk is tidy, my floor is clear
I can now walk without the fear
of stumbling over taxmans's files
or magazines and other piles
They really turned a bad man good
and here is what I always should:
Remember them as what they are
The ointment to the itching scar
of always having to confess
my office is the biggest mess
If organizing is a street
they are the one's that you will meet
building the road to your success
and finally I have to stress
That all of us who thought we'll make it
without the one's who finally rake it
will have a garden full of weed
Something that none of us will need
if we do trust our fertilizers :

Julie, you'll always have a place in my heart and I thank you so much for this fabulous book. It came right at the moment I needed it. I wish you and all you love a peaceful Chistmas and a happy New Year in health. *Live long and Prosper* as they say in Star Trek
Hey you German buffs, that was a FREE translation OK ?
Arnd - the one that doubts whether they are professional: They keep you online instead of implementing their invaluable advice (G)
Arnd,
What can I say?
You made my day!!!!
Best wishes for happy holidays!

Hi Arnd!
I was just lurking around the net and found your Ode - which is so clever, I couldn't resist responding! Nice to know my fellow NAPOers have been helping. Even if I don't personally contribute much here, as a group we're pretty nice people <g>.
Happy Holidays!
Dorothy Lehmkuhl
Dorothy,
Even lurkers can be angels (G)
All the best to you too...
Arnd
Arnd, in the words of the song, "I second that emotion." My schoolboy German must still be working, I got the translation pretty much in one (although I can't QUITE figure out where >> *Live long and Prosper* as they say in Star Trek << fits in!
John
Arnd,
It was so sweet of you to share your gift with us. That's the best poem I've read about a group I belong to since my son wrote a poem about "Mom" when he was eight years old. Made me feel pretty special. Also I enjoyed reading a little German (Tiani is my married name; my maiden name is Keinath and my mom's maiden name is Sprecher).
Have a wonderful holiday!
Jackie Tiani, NAPO Member
Jackie,
'Mom' poems can never be topped. But I am glad you liked mine.
To you and all you love here go my best wishes...
Arnd
Mele Kalikimaka Arnd!
Please excuse my sporadic appearances these days...very busy w/many new clients still, then my MAC drives needed to go into the shop to swap locations/addressing & I learned a *valuable lesson* on "mirror imaging" upon their return ;)
Then *somehow* CIS got totally blown away....not to mention the fact that my biggest concern was
re-couping all the CIS work I have done/collected in the last yr! (not one of 3 bkups were co-operating!)
I gotta tell ya I was a tad frantic when I thought I would not be able to re-coup that marvelous 138K Thread on Procrastination that everyone so diligently participated in! (strange things happen to CIS when it is moved - fer sure!) However, all is now *finally* a-ok !
WOW! So now *Where* do I begin?
I cannot easily find the words to tell you how grateful I am for your presence in this Forum....YOU my dear need to be included in the "angel listing" as well ! ;)
Your openness, honesty, vulnerability, delightful humor & warm presence have been a shear delight in this last month+ ! And now I find you are a talented poet to boot!
"Arnd-the one that NEVER ceases to amaze me" ;)
I was totally astonished, in shock, quite impressed, amused & delighting in your creativity upon discovering your "Ode to Angels"! Thank you for your sweet kindness! Arnd, more than anything else in regards to my chosen Profession as a Professional Organizer/Personal Coach is *hearing* *seeing* the success stories of my clients.
I do not have a personal claim in the results of their success, rather delight in being an instrument/vehicle for THEM to accomplish their given results/success. THEY are the ones who have done alot of work in order to actually achieved the accomplishments.
Everyone *always* has a choice...& yours was to move forward & put "CONTI" on a strict diet & plumpen up on "Oogie" ;) I hope Oogie is as plump as St. Nick these days :)
You have been a true joy & gift in this Forum section Arnd ! ;D
With YOUR contributions I am very sure you have had a positive impact on many of the lurkers to this section as well. It is so important for people to *understand* that they are *not* uniquely experiencing many of the organizing dilemmas that you, Jill & others have shared with us.
Having "organizing challenges" is nothing that one needs to be embarrased about, or feel guilt.....it IS something that a vast majority of the population experiences on varying levels. It IS something that Professional Organizers can be of assistance in MANY facets. By contacting & working with a Professional Organizer people CAN & DO reclaim more of their valuable Time, Space & Lives. I am tickled to hear you have reaped such marvelous benefits ;) *Your wife must be thrilled too !
Hmmmmmm, now as far as "what you received in the mail" ....let's just not fess up totally here on what I sent you ;) ...as our good friend Jill is still awaiting her surprise package.
The postage rate was actually going to be faster to Germany than it was for IL. where Jill is located! I'm sure she will let us know when her "elf package" arrives ;)
Enjoy in good health Arnd! I am glad it arrived at an opportune time :)
Wishing you the warmest holiday ever. May you enjoy your new found Organization habits thruout the coming years & bask in the freedom of their rewards!
Much Aloha, good health, peace & abundance thru out the coming New Year!
Aloha nui loa to you my friend ;)

Cute...really cute! <G>
Welllllllll, just think of it as a good opportunity to remain connected in this section, share your future accomplishments, challenge us w/further obstacles...& meet new PO's who particpate in this Forum, who are more than willing to assist with an abundance of vast organizing suggestions;) Besides.....I can't wait to hear what you take on next! <vbg>
Julie,
>>Mele Kalikimaka Arnd!
I heard that before in asong from the 50's. What does it mean exactly I cannot rmember. It is not Merry Christmas, is it ?
>>Your wife must be thrilled too !
Definitely not. I am not yet married. But my girlfriend is kinda surprised about the change...
>> Besides.....I can't wait to hear what you take on next! <vbg>
That is my New Year secret ! But I will let you know. Unfortunately I will not be able to redecoate my flat to get things in line with Feng Shui of which I am a great admirer.
But it will be a very simple yet megaproductive organization step in this little house.
I hope (no I know !) that I will be able to successfully finish my plan even though I will give my regular office a new oganizational face as well. I found a lot of hints in recent mail...
May you and your beloved have a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Arnd
