Thanks for the tip, Deniece Schofield! That's the name, she is so lighthearted and funny and entertaining to read. I had both of her books, and have since loaned them out......thanks for jumping in, and goodluck to everyone's basement organizing.

Of course, we are very happy about this, but reorganizing the house has been a nightmare. We have no basement or family room, so I lost my nice little home office (which I no longer need, really) when we decided to turn it into a playroom for sons 12 and 7 and their friends. It's a small room (11x11) which now houses an air hockey table, computer, drawing table, television, video game, and a small clothes closet crammed with toys, books, computer supplies. Videotapes are stored under the hockey table in plastic drawers and storage bins. The boys are now sharing a room, so that has to be redone, including the closet. All this around a husband who works during the week to earn our one income, two kids on summer vacation, and an extremely limited budget. : My in-laws have a tendency to shower these, their only nephews and grandkids, with TONS of toys and educational stuff. I have asked that they back off, but no luck yet. The kids get so much that some of it is still shrink-wrapped! I'll probably donate the overflow, or rather, have the kids do it so that they'll get the praise. : Anyway, good luck in organizing your basement playroom. You've gotten lots of good ideas. : Nancy B.
