Julie,
Thanks for the great ideas! I've printed them out and added them to my ever growing organizing file! :)

As for a room divider, that's not really possible at this stage. The room is a long rectangle, basically, and we've already divided it once to make a bedroom for my 5 year old son. We turned his former bedroom upstairs into an office for our home business. (Don't even begin to ask about my office...it's in DESPERATE need of help! LOL)

Anyway, the remainder of the room that is used for the playroom/family room is the larger half of the rectangle. The room has some built in cabinets, but they don't have any shelving or finishing inside, and because we are renting the home, I can't do any major permanent changes to the house. I did like Chris' bag idea, but my problem is where to put the bags. The only wall available to hang anything on is solid concrete...can't drive a nail or peg there... :(
And, as I said, I can't install any permanent shelving systems (oh how I wish this was my own house...LOL) SO...what do I do?

We did go through so far and weed out a lot of the toys...the kids seem to collect them faster than I can get rid of the old ones! I thought about taking some of those plastic cubes that look like milk containers and stacking them up to make a "cubbyhole" shelf...would this work, or would the kids just tear it down?

Anyway, thanks so much for the great suggestions...and the terrific site!

Thanks again,
Becky

ps...Julie, do you ever make housecalls stateside? LOL...I'm in Oregon! :)
