I am always at battle with the question of what to do with negatives. As a professional photographer for over ten years I have thousands of rolls containing Weddings and other valuable events. I currently store them by the date they were taken and put them in envelopes and place them in banker's boxes. Purchasing a safe box wouldn't be practical and I've ofter thought I should just give the negatives to the clients and free myself. The problem is it is an unwrittem rule that professionals don't give away their negatives. I would love to toss them but I know they mean so much to some. I have even tried tracking down some of the couples to give them the negatives but it was way too time consuming.
