Go to www.treepad.com and download the freeware software, Treepad.
Look at the info on the web site to see how it's used.
If you are going to copy and paste info, this is the Best way I can
think of to organize it. You can make many sub-branches of different
topics, and even sub-nodes of the subnodes, and organize your
information.
Also, the way that I organize data on my hard drive is like this..
First, let me tell you that I am an experienced, competent and professional
computer user, also getting my degree in comp science, now..
When I first set up my computer, I partitioned my hard drive into 2-Gig partitions
so that I can organize more easily, and for other reasons.. it also allows me
to save some space because the number of files that you have on one drive also takes
up space, even if the files are small.
Now, regardless of whether you do this, (it's difficult to do once your computer is already
set up,) here's how I organize my data:
I have a directory called "downloads" on one partition. I use this directory
to store all software that I download. When I am going to download a program into
this directory, I will first make a new folder in the downloads directory with the name of
the progam which I am saving.. This allows me to know what it is, since the names of many computer
programs is cryptic. Also, after the name of the program, I type in the version of the one that I
am downloading, like 4.0.. Then I type in the date. So, for example, if I am downloading
Treepad, the name of the folder that I put it in will be:
"TreePad 2.6.9c 10-3-99" It's important to not use slashes "/" for the data because the computer
won't let you.
Secondly, another way that I organize data, is in a "Media" folder. I have a folder called "Media" on
another partition. I use this 500 MB partition only for media. Media is any form of expression, basically.
The subdirectories I have in "media" are:
"My Documents"

|---Computer
|---Car
|---Home
|---Labs
|---Homework
|---Links
|---Web
"Pictures"
|---"Images"
"Sound"
"Video"
This isn't the most organized I could be, but it's some organization..
I hope that this helps for organizing files on your HD..
Oh.. if I you find a web page that's very good.. You can save it into one
of your sub-folders in My Documents.. When you save it, though, you should
change the name of the file to something that you would understand
if you looked at it in the future.
Well, gotta go..
