I have two sons, 7 and 10, who are very active with Cub Scouts, various sports teams and church choir. Everything organization, rank, sport, grade, etc. seems to have its own baseball cap. Not only that, but the sun in Southern Louisiana is beastly...the caps are functional. Both boys have tons and may actually wear 3-4 during a given week.
When the boys were younger, I bought those white plastic "chains" with plastic clothes pins to anchor the numerous hats in one place. The boys were too little, the chain too high, the clothes pins too loose...you name it.
Recently, I hammered small nails in a closet wall and independently hung each cap (with neckerchief for Scouts) within reach. Souvernir caps are hung nearer to the ceiling, for display rather than use.
Am I missing an easier or more obvious way of handling this multitude of caps? It has to be accessible for easy retrieval....usually the last words out of my mouth as we're in the car buckling up are "where is your cap?" followed by a mad scramble to the closet.
Thanks for any suggestions.
