: OK my husband and I are at odds on the sorting of grocery coupons. He insists on alphebetically, however, sometimes the Tide coupon is under "T" for Tide, or "L" for laundry detergent or "C" for Cleaners. It drives me batty when I go to the store!! I can't find anything!!! I would prefer to file by categories like the grocery store is organized. That way when I am standing in the cleaner aisle, I have my Tide, Bounce, Dawn etc coupons all together. Do you have a grocery category list to help me get started?
I have been an avid coupon user for quite some time and find the only way to fully optimize my savings is to have my coupons organized by groups in the order that I find them at my local store. This system allows me to quickly locate any desired coupon; and when I am shopping for a perticular type of product, such as a fabric softner, I am able to easely compare the savings of the coupon to the the listed price of the differnt brands so that I can get the most softner,eg, for the least amount of money.
