Aloha Susan...

Actually Susan ...the first question that comes to mind here is *WHO* normally does the grocery shopping???

Whoever normally does it needs to organize the coupons for how *they * would find a specific one. Your example of *T* for Tide, *L* for Laundry & *C* for cleaners is sooooo similar to the same struggles found in an office filing system. The easiest way to handle the coupons is "the first word that comes to your mind" (just like files). Now if per chance you both do an equal amount of shopping -- I'd say the sanest procedure would be to get *2* coupon books. Each week when you clip the coupons ...divy them up. Have you noticed how many *doubles* one can collect? Why not allow each person to file it the way that works best for them :) Keeps peace, honors our individual uniqueness & doesn't make some one right/wrong. It's all about individual behaviors that work *best* for each person :)

Let me know how things go :)

Much Aloha,
