Thanks, Julie. I just made a copy of your suggestions. Just this morning he was saying he has to go thru his closet and get rid of lots of stuff so he is in the right mood. The table by his bed has two large drawers, plus a cubby hole. I use the bottom drawer for our travel brochures, but the rest is his. The table by his easy chair has a large bottom shelf and a small top shelf. He loves to read and just dosn't WANT to throw out anything. I think we will set aside the month of January and we WILL go thru all this stuff.
I have seen these tiered tables in catalogs that have 4 or 5 shelves and one or two of those would be nice, I think. We could set those up on the hearth even since we don't use the fireplace. I have videos stored IN the fireplace.
