Aloha Jacqui,

I'm not quite sure what the *exact* dilemma is here Jacqui. If you could be more specific I would love to assist you!

Actually, most any flooring will accomodate a workstation. Obviously there is more mobility if there is a hardwood floor or similiar *smooth* surface involved for maneuvering the chair. Yet, you can always purchase a computer floor mat for carpeted surfaces that work very well.

If you have a carpeted surface, just keep in mind that you do NOT want to penny-pinch here. You may find floormats for $20...yet the chair will leave impressions in SHORT time that will annoy you for a LONG time!!
Go for a mat that is thick & durable & has heavy prongs to grip the carpet.

If you would elaborate more on your storage concerns I will be happy to respond.

Much Aloha,
