I have a contemporary L-Shaped work space. I need to store books which are frequently used, (now resting on the work surface), papers which are current projects, electric pencil sharpener, stapler, clips, etc. The long-side of the L is against a wall. What type of storage is most efficient, those that rest on the surface of the workspace (reducing workspace area)or wall storage that does not go all the way down to the workspace? I would prefer space that hides things or that stores them in a way that looks neat. The depth of the workspace is 30". Moving the work unit away from the wall is not an option. Any particular type of storage unit that you've used successfully would be appreciated. Also where to purchase the units, please.
