<<< Wouldn't it be simpler to just put everything you return to the closet after cleaning on the left side? Then everything on the right side would be the stuff you hadn't worn.

Actually Terry...Jenny's method is pretty darn good because it allows you to categorize all the items in your closet still as you wear the clothing. When organizing the closet it's usually alot easier to group like clothes together....ie: play clothes...work clothes...dressy clothes....blouses...suits...whatever.
