Hmmmmm, sounds like you need some help from the troops Laureen! With 2 teenagers there is absolutely NO reason that this chore cannot not be somewhat delegated.

To reduce the laundry in the laundry room first off -- setup a laundry system in the kids rooms. When the baskets become overflowing or they can't find their favorite clothes -- they will know why! :)
