Aloha Susan...

I know lots of parents that save momentos for their kids so they can pass them on when they are older so this is a GREAT tip --Mahalo!

While you are at it...make a suitcase for each child as well as yourself (using different colors) Involve the child in the project...have ythem pick their favorite color & decorate the outside themself. As the child gets older you can give them the suitcase to continue the process for themselves. This will also teach them an important concept about "limited space" & they won't create the tendency to "save it all" at an early age. Setting up *different* luggage pieces for each child from the onset... will save you a future step of sorting each child's memorabilia.
