I was hoping that some of our visitors would respond to you -- yet we have several lurkers too that are somewhat bashful :) No problemo! Bri, first of all hanging clothes or folding them into drawers or wire basket organizers is contingent on your space, needs & preferences for many items. Out here on the “island of T-shirts” where life is very casual -- I normally hang T’s in the closet rather than suggest folding them in a drawer. Why? 1) You can visually see precisely what you have As far as a “high boy” is concerned it’s all about preferences here too. In my years of organizing mostly the men get the chest-of-drawers & women ustilize the longer dresser. The reason is that we tend to have more clothing & it’s usually the dresser that has a mirror above it! As far as your “skirt” & not knowing where to put it -- invest in “skirt organizers.” This is a way to hang “multiple skirts” without taking up tons of space in your closet. You would want to hang a skirt to keep it wrinkle free. Same goes for blouses. As far as sweaters are concerned, these work well folded & stacked on the top shelf of your closet (or in a drawer if you have tons of space there) If you place them on the top shelf of your closet -- avoid going more than 5 high or it’s more challenging to retrieve them. They also sell “shelf organizers for this purpose. It’s a “clip-on” verticle divider that snaps onto any closet shelf. In this manner you just follow the height of the one you select...stack your sweaters...clip on the next one ...stack your sweater etc... The above mentioned organizers work well for folding/stacking jeans. Yet jeans can be folded in a drawer or hung on a hanger. Once again -- it’s preference. Preference also is closely related to how OFTEN you use an item. You want to make it easy for retieval & putting things away to avoid a cluttered area. When it comes to underware -- utilizing organizewrs for this purpose works wonders!!!! The underware organizers can be found through Neatnix organizers or Hold Everything. My favorite resource for closet organizing is the Container Store. Both of these resources have several products we have reviewed in our HOT PICKS section in the Library. One last word here ...ditch all your metal hangers & go with the tubulars -- they are very inexpensive & much gentler on your clothes. For delicates -- go for the lingerie hangers -- you’ll be glad you did! Hope this helps !! If you have any other specific questions -- please post them here -- I am sure you will be asking questions many are timid to ask for fear of asking what they THINK is the obvious -- when in actuality -- MANY people are looking for the answer :)
