My apologies for "not being on the boards" for a while here. Unfortunately, I managed to injure myself in such a way that typing was out of the picture for a while!

Now as far as setting up a loft area...I've seen it done 100's of times with wonderful results! Seeing as you & hubby are handy...I would direct you to the "Sunset Books". When needing ideas on how to's these people are a real jewel to have on your bookshelf for an incredible array of projects. I'd check w/them first!
