Aloha Lisa....

First of all God Bless you!!!

At one time in my Life, I moved more times than I ever dreamed was possible! (7x in one year was the worse!) One of the things that saved me from the onset is by taking the opportunity to simplify prior to the packing stage of each move.

* Pack only what you need, love or have fond memories of!
* Invest in "movers boxes" one time (I had the same boxes for over 15 yrs -- they really hold up & are worth their price in gold for the next move)
* Save your boxes! Break them down after each move & store them in an unobtrusive manner until the next inevitable move.
* NEVER destroy stereo, computer or TV equipment boxes -- they are a TREASURE when the next move comes!
* Label all boxes on 5 sides when packing is inevitable. {once you get the knack...the same boxes can be used repeatedly}
* Avoid packing all items by room -- I know this may sound odd at first -- yet pack by category.
EX: pack all knick-knacks; pictures; kitchen items etc.... don't worry about the room they came from, as this will encourage you to become more creative in the placement in your next home.
* have a CRITICAL box ...these are the MOST essential items to your livlihood, contact numbers; finances etc...
* Rest assured that *someday* the moving will cease :)

If I can clarify anything else in more detail Linda...feel free to drop another post!
