Well, w/6 kids I see a lot of *potential helpers* in the picture!! You did not mention the ages, yet rest assured that by the age of 4 they CAN help out keeping things organized, not to mention this is a necessary skill they truly need to learn. The bottom line is w/a family your size it must be seen as a team effort. Susan....have you taken a peek at the section for *Family Meetings*? Sounds like you need some concrete assistance here....http://www.123sortit.com/RO/familyschedules.html
## After reviewing the ground rules for the *Family Meeting* & the alternatives for items left hanging around, I can assure you that many families have witnessed significant changes. The key is that you MUST stick to the formula given. No matter what do not give in...or you can gurantee the return of old habits. If you need more coaching after you have read this section & come up w/your list...feel free to post again BEFORE you have the Family meeting :) <<< We live in a small house, with three bedrooms, one bath, and no basement. 1240 square feet. I have 2 large and one small storage units rented and cannot afford anymore. Where do I go with stuff? I need creative ideas to maximize the space we've got! ## Susan, are the items in storage truly needed??? you did not mention the *type8 of contents so I would need more info in order to give further suggestions in this regard.
