:      I am a type A personality.  I wake up early 
: every morning but on days off, my husband prefers to sleep.  He agrees with the idea of keeping rooms clean for company.  SO, the downstairs is always clean.  He helps me!  All the clutter he puts in the bed room and everything else is organized.  He considers my lap top, printer, scanner.. clutter.  SO.. if you can picture this, I get up early and can't use my scanner because it is in the bedroom (which is still a mess with all the clutter and there is a husband sleeping in bed.)  We also have too much in the closets so I will try your idea of turning the hangers backwards.  I can truthfully tell you that my mental state is reflective of the state of my bedroom.  My mind is in kaos wishing that everything could have a place and everything in it's place!
