I also kept two calendars for several years and found that I was:
1. still not getting all of the information written on both calenders.
2. doing double the work to keep organized.-Manually!
3. even having one "home" calendar my family would still ask
about the days plans....
4. miss events because all information was not on the calender that
was in my hand at the time.
Needless to say, I found this to be annoying thus ditched the two
calender method and use my computer to keep all of the weeks/months/years
information. Each week/Sunday-I print out a copy for each family member-they add their
own appointments and dates to the calender and give it back to me. I update the information, reprint the calender and give them the revised copy.
This works better than the old method and each member is responsible for their portion of the weeks activities.
