: My boyfriend just asked for my help in organizing his bedroom. He has the perfect bachelor setup going on now and it is going to need a lot of work. He basically uses two bedrooms for all his stuff. My dilemma? How in the world do you organize a bachelor's room? He basically puts his bed in one room and everything else in the other. So far every suggestion I have come up with has been shot down as being "girly". I would really like some suggestions on what methods to use. Thanks.

Just from experience with my husband men seem to be best with open type storage. They like to be able to see all their stuff, so maybe a creative entertainment center for all the electronics and some sort of crate system for clothing and other stuff.

My husband likes small things like jewelry, pens, keys, and that kind of stuff in little wooden boxes he picked up at Woolworth years ago.

I also know that he doesn't mind hanging his t-shirts, but doesn't want to hang jeans or pants, so to accomodate that, we now fold them and store them on shelves.

Hope these suggestions help some. Maybe you need to go looking at a store such as Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Linens & Things, or the Container Store to see what appeals to him, since they tend to have things already set up for samples, and then find cheaper alternatives depending on your budget.
