I keep two calendars?!?!

I keep two calendars - one that I carry around (day-timer) so that I can check and make appointments while I am out and one on my computer. I am having difficulty keeping entries in both of them current- I'll have an appointment in one and not in the other. Any advice on a way to monitor this better? What is this palm device??? do I need this device or should I wait?
